Spence Manor Condominiums – Music Row, TN
May 20, 2007 by Darbi Bolton · 3 Comments
Before the five-star Spence Manor Hotel was converted into condominiums, it was one of the most desirable hotels to stay at in the Nashville area. You never knew whom you might rub elbows with in the single, tiny elevator…Willie Nelson, Frank Sinatra, Elvis and even The Beatles frequently called it home when they would come to this highly acclaimed city.
The Spence Manor Suites are perfectly located on world famous Music Row, close to the Country Music Hall of Fame, the University area, medical centers, downtown Nashville, and just minutes from the airport and the Opry. This is where the top country and rock stars hide out today, and it has been since the days when the Beatles and Elvis stayed here. With its guitar-shaped swimming pool (built by country music legend Webb Pierce), this development surely attracts people from all around the world.
Built in the 1970’s and currently priced from $150K’s – $250K’s, these condominiums offer between 750-1,000 square feet of living space including one to two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, one to two over-sized bathrooms and private access to the infamous guitar-shaped pool…all including an amazing view of downtown Nashville and overlooking one of the hottest spots for night life in town. Affordable and luxurious living at it’s finest, I must say…

Holly White has been in Real Estate related industries going back to 1995 and has experience in not only real estate sales, but also in mortgage finance and real estate appraisal. Holly has a huge love for music and moved to Nashville in 2003 to further progress a family business in the music industry and open a recording studio on Music Row called Sixteen Ton Recording Studios. During that time she has also managed to take Nashville by storm in real estate with RE/Max Elite.
My wife and I stayed in Spence Manor in 1983 and it was a great hotel. The room was beautiful. All the food was via room service and it was deeeelicious. My favorite thing was the the guitar shaped pool. I was a pro triathlete at the time and I had a great time doing laps.
I stayed at Spence Manor in 1999 in a room opposite Elvis suite. My friend went for a swim in the pool, and since he’d had a few drinks I said to him “you really shouldn’t”. Undeterred he being a guitar player said to me,”Don’t worry Colm, I’ll just play it safe and stay around the first three frets”. Classic!!!! We had a great time.
I own condo #602 in Spence Manor.
What do you think it is worth now?
