I stayed at Spence Manor in 1999 in a room opposite Elvis suite. My friend went for a swim in the pool, and since he’d had a few drinks I said to him “you really shouldn’t”. Undeterred he being a guitar player said to me,”Don’t worry Colm, I’ll just play it safe and stay around the first three frets”. Classic!!!! We had a great time.

My wife and I stayed in Spence Manor in 1983 and it was a great hotel. The room was beautiful. All the food was via room service and it was deeeelicious. My favorite thing was the the guitar shaped pool. I was a pro triathlete at the time and I had a great time doing laps.
